Mission Statement

The mission of the Notre Dame de Namur University Department of Public Safety is the protection of life and property by providing a safe and secure living, learning and working environment for students, staff, faculty and visitors. The Department of Public Safety will achieve this through the enforcement of Notre Dame de Namur University policies, procedures and regulations as well as local, state and federal laws.

天天色综合,天天干影视The Department of Public Safety provides safety and security services 24 hours a day, 365 days-a-year. The 50 acre campus and affiliated locations are patrolled by foot and vehicle. The Department of Public Safety staff includes the director, an administrative/parking coordinator, full-time and part-time Public Safety officers, and student workers. The director of Public Safety reports directly to the dean of students. The Department of Public Safety office is located in St. Mary’s Hall, Rooms 109 and 111, and has a customer service window at the central lobby.

We maintain a Memorandum of Understanding with Belmont Police Department and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with local, state and federal agencies. We also maintain individual and institutional memberships in associations and organizations related to the campus safety and security field.


Parking Permits

All staff, faculty, students and visitors who utilize NDNU parking facilities are required to display a valid parking permit. See info on Parking Permits and Enforcement.

Power Failure

天天色综合,天天干影视If in the event of a power failure, the university telephone system fails, you can contact Public Safety via any non-campus telephone (public telephone, cell phone) by calling 650-508-1860 (this number is a dedicated line and messages cannot be left).

Reporting a student’s behavior or conduct

天天色综合,天天干影视If you would like to make a report regarding a student’s behavior or conduct, you may do so using the form provided via the link below. This report will be sent to the Student Development and Standards Office and copied to other pertinent staff. The Student Development and Standards Office will follow up on the report or route it to the appropriate office. For instance, a report concerning a traffic violation will be forwarded to Public Safety.

天天色综合,天天干影视If you are concerned about a student, you may use the same form to express this concern by selecting the pertinent “Student of Concern” boxes. These “Students of Concern” reports will be received by the dean of students and the director of counseling and health services.

天天色综合,天天干影视If you are reporting some form of sexual misconduct, this report will be received by the dean of students and the assistant director of Student Development and Standards.

Shuttle Service

NDNU offers a free shuttle service around campus Monday through Thursday from 5-10:30 p.m. The shuttle will leave campus 25 minutes after each hour to make a stop at Caltrain. See the following map for shuttle stop locations.


Public Safety officers are on duty 24/7. Always call the Public Safety cell phone number first; one of the cell phones is carried by the duty officer at all times. Office is located in St. Mary’s Hall, off the lobby.
